Smartlipo

How it Works – Why its Smart – Having Smartlipo

The Origin Of Liposuction

Decades ago people dreamed about connecting yourself to a vacuum cleaner and just sucking out the extra fat. Then, In 1974, Dr. Giorgio Fischer of Italy invented the first liposuction. The dream became a reality. Back then, though. there were two problems. Electrolytes and extra skin.

Tumescent Liposuction

The first problem was that you took out electrolytes like sodium and potassium as well as the fat. We all know from sweating with exercise how that can make you feel. This problem was solved in 1985 with Dr. Jeffrey Klein’s advance called tumescent liposuction. You infused a saline-like solution that put in extra electrolytes before the suction and also decreased the bleeding to almost nothing. This was a huge step forward. It allowed the safe limits of fat removal quoted my many experts to raise to 5 Liters. That is equivalent to the size of 2 1/2 two liter bottles of soda. A LOT of fat!

Ultrasonic Liposuction

There was still another problem left though. When a balloon is full, it is tight and smooth. When you empty the balloon, it gets rippled. We were able to remove so much fat that the skin frequently became wavy. Several attempts were made to solve this problem with technologies like ultrasonic lipo. Ultrasonic liposuction was somewhat helpful but had its own problems, making it a poor choice.

Laser Lipo

Finally, a technology was developed that really helped, laser liposuction. Lasering the inside of the skin after removing the fat helps it contract. The problem with early laser lipo was that it was so effective it was difficult to control. Too much of a good thing could be a bad thing.

Smartlipo MPX and Triplex

Smartlipo MPX is a huge advance. First, MPX stands for multiplex. Originally two frequencies of laser and now three, This combines multiple frequencies of laser light that best target the skin ad fat. It helps the procedure to go faster and be more effective. The other advance was the Thermoguide. This actually measures the effect on the tissue at the tip of the cannula and can be set to limit the laser. When the right temperature is reached, the machine can actually shut itself off. This is a tremendous advance in safety.

The Smartlipo MPX Result

You can now accomplish more than ever before with this minimally invasive procedure. The procedure is short, there is very little discomfort and you can be back to almost everything in a few days.
