Arm Lift Procedure (Brachioplasty)

Arm Lift – Brachioplasty , Slimmer Arms.

An arm lift, or otherwise known as brachioplasty, can remove the excess skin and fat deposits, leaving the upper arms with a more pleasing and youthful contour. As a person ages, upper arm skin can become loose and increased fat deposits create unwanted volume. This are perplexing problems that can be improved usually with liposuction or in severe cases with an arm lift. The amount of extra skin determines which procedure is better for each patient.

With liposuction, the extra fat is removed. In most patients, this yields a very nice improvement with only a few small dots remaining at the suction site.

If your arms have extra fat and fairly tight skin, you are the ideal candidate for liposuction. Removing the fat will shrink your arms nicely leaving you the smaller arms you desire.

Some extra fat and some extra skin is where most people find themselves. This is where experience counts and you should have a detailed discussion with the doctor about your goals. Many people do not want the skin scar associated with a regular arm lift and decide to have Smartlipo. While it will not completely solve the problem, the advantage of Smartlipo is that the laser helps to tighten the skin after removing the unwanted fat.

If you have loose hanging skin with little fat, liposuction of any kind is not for you. Only removing the skin with an Arm Lift will solve this. This will leave a linear scr on the inside of the arm.
